Bravo! The Anglican Communion needs a strong voice and a strong leader to turn us back to Jesus Christ and the faith once delivered to the saints. It is precisely this faith that has been undermined and challenged by the unilateral actions of North American leaders from The Episcopal Church (TEC) and the Anglican Church of Canada (ACoC) by, among other things, consecrating actively practicing homosexual and lesbian bishops and authorizing same-sex blessings - contrary to the Bible, apostolic and catholic teaching, and the teaching of the Anglican Communion on human sexuality, marriage and holy orders (Lambeth Resolution 1.10 1998).

Will Justin Welby display "courage' in the Anglican wars

“There is a great deal that is wonderfully hopeful in this appointment. Bishop Welby self-identifies as an evangelical. He is able to communicate clearly and winsomely. However, as he prepares to take up this challenging role at a very challenging time, one characteristic that has not been attributed to him is ‘courage’. So there are a number of questions which I would like to put — or at least have someone put — respectfully but seriously, to the next Archbishop of Canterbury.”

The British press has announced, perhaps a bit prematurely, that Justin Welby, currently Bishop of Durham, is to be the next Archbishop of Canterbury. Though widely tipped in recent weeks to be the successor to Rowan Williams, the appointment is rather unusual, especially since he has only been a bishop for a very short period of time (just a little over a year).

What really happened in Auckland NZ at ACC-15

We write to you as representatives to the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC-15), which has just concluded in Auckland NZ. We represent the Church of Nigeria and the Church of Kenya, approximately 31 million active and worshipping Anglicans within our Anglican Communion. We write in the spirit of Jude 3 to express our concerns about the directions taken by ACC-15.

... we are grieved that this meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council avoided the real crisis in the Anglican Communion.

Indianapolis Statement given to the House of Deputies

The Indianapolis Statement dissenting from the authorization of gay blessings has been delivered to the House of Deputies of the 77th General Convention meeting in Indianapolis.

Shortly after the start of the final legislative session on 12 July 2012 the Rev. Canon Neal Michell, Deputy from Dallas, rose on a point of personal privilege and read the Indianapolis Statement – the document presented to the House of Bishops on 11 July by Bishop Michael D. Smith of North Dakota, and gave voice to his dismay.

Women clergy and doctrine dividing ACNA from the Orthodox

The Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church in America, His Beatitude Jonah has called upon the Anglican Church of North America to ditch women clergy, Calvinism and the filioque in the name of Christian unity.

This is an “opportunity to return your church to its original catholic heritage” Jonah told delegates attending the ACNA’s 2nd Assembly at the Lifeway Conference Center in Ridgecrest, NC on 8 June 2012.

The Anglican Moment/Le Moment Anglicane

While it is difficult to choose the most despicable action of the Episcopal Church amongst their catalogue of deplorable activities and depravities, the use of American dollars as leverage, well, let us call it what it is, bribery - to entice Anglican Provinces to support their cavalier abandonment of biblical orthodoxy surely tops the list. We give praise to Almighty God that the Rwandan Church has withstood the diabolical financial incentives of the Episcopal Church and together with Primates from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, West Africa and Nigeria unreservedly endorsed GAFCON’s Jerusalem Declaration that included the affirmation: “We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the Word of God written and to contain all things necessary for salvation. The Bible is to be translated, read, preached, taught and obeyed in its plain and canonical sense, respectful of the church’s historic and consensual reading…”
